We are a not-for-profit organization under the
direction of a volunteer Board of Directors. Our centres are both located
in elementary schools which provide a bridge between the school and daycare
classrooms.
The food at our centres is catered by Real Food for
Real Kids (www.rfrk.com) and we make
every effort to be nut aware.
Our Programmes
Both are centres offer programmes designed along
developmental lines with classrooms providing care to children from infancy
(0-18 months) through the age of 10. We also offer an after-school
programme with a strong homework focus for children aged 6 to 12 years.
Our programmes:
- are
coordinated by professional and caring Early Childhood Educators and
Assistants,
- ensure
classroom ratios conform to the Daycare Nursery Act.
- are
inclusive and committed to representing the diversity within our
community
- use
diverse teaching methods and tools
- encourage
parent involvement and participation
- promote
a seamless day for our kindergarten and school-aged children that
fosters a smooth transition into school
- include
an innovative summer programme filled with trips, arts and crafts and
in-centre activities
- have
a strong recreational focus
